Project fine screen industrial process water treatment

Our client Ynsect is building its third vertical farm specializing in insect production, spanning 45,000 square meters. The onsite wastewater treatment plant requires a fine screen to ensure the process wastewater meets the standards for discharge into the municipal water system.

Sludge treatment project

The client initially used containers and big bags to dewater the sludge produced at the new plant. They have now decided to install a screw press to process all the sludge once a week. This upgrade will save time for the operators and reduce the sludge evacuation costs for the facility.

Pretreatment rehabilitation

The two bar screens in operation were obsolete and required a lot of maintenance for the operators. The plant then considered replacing them with two automatic step screens, reusing the existing conveyor belt.

Issues

A piston compactor received waste coming from two coarse screens. During the screenings discharge into the compactor, a vault effect caused a clogging in the hopper.
